A family dispute that kept relatives and authorities on edge in the province of Los Santos took a turn on Thursday afternoon. A 10-year-old girl was formally handed over to her mother by her maternal grandmother and father, who had been keeping her in their custody.
According to gathered information, the minor did not reside permanently with her mother but had remained under the care of her maternal grandmother, who was the primary guardian responsible for her daily upbringing. After several days of legal proceedings, the grandmother and father went to the Prosecutor's Office, where procedures related to the minor's situation had already been initiated three days earlier.
It was learned that upon realizing the situation, the maternal grandmother voluntarily came forward to hand over the girl. The father, identified as Vidal Jaén, also participated in the process.
