This Saturday, the province of Colón woke up to the ninth person killed by the violence prevalent on the Atlantic coast in the early morning hours. The victim was 22-year-old Angelo Jesús Guevara, who was murdered on a street in the Villa Liriola community, uphill, an area belonging to the Cativá district. Initial information about the case indicates that the victim had been stalked by gunmen who opened fire on him, leaving him lying in the middle of the street. The gunmen then fled the crime scene amid the concern of residents who only heard the shots and proceeded to take cover. The young man's body was taken to the judicial morgue in the city of Colón to be prepared for the mandatory autopsy performed in such cases. An investigation into this homicide case has now begun.
