A pursuit in the coastal area of La Reserva, in La Palma, Darién province, culminated in the capture of a man and the seizure of 65 rectangular packages of suspected drugs. According to the National Border Service (Senafront), anti-narcotics units and the First Fluvial Battalion spotted a handmade vessel. Its driver, upon noticing the presence of the officers, attempted to flee. Despite evasive maneuvers, the alleged drug trafficker was apprehended, and the illegal cargo, which was in several colored sacks and is presumed to be marijuana, was confiscated. Following the interdiction, the vessel with its drug cargo and the suspect were transferred to the Senafront base in La Palma, where the packages were counted by personnel from the Drug Prosecutor's Office. Upon completion of the proceedings related to this new seizure, everything was handed over to the Public Ministry for the judicial processing of the case.
