Panama Police Arrest 11 Gang Members in 'Golpe' Operation

The National Police of Panama, with the support of the Public Ministry, conducted 'Operation Golpe' in the province of Colón, resulting in the arrest of 11 members of the 'Killa NTB' gang, suspected of homicides, drug trafficking, and other crimes.

During the operations, cash, ammunition, illicit substances, and a bulletproof vest were seized. Simultaneous operations were carried out in different communities of the Colón province since Tuesday morning. The National Police, in collaboration with the Public Ministry, managed to apprehend 11 individuals linked to gang activity. According to the PN, members of the Killa NTB - Los Killa New Town Boys gang were arrested. Operations took place in the communities of Nuevo Colón, in the Sabanitas district, and San Martín in the Cativá district. This group is accused of cases of homicide, personal injury, deprivation of liberty, and drug trafficking. The Public Ministry reported that these arrests were made as part of Operation Golpe, with the support of agents from the Judicial Investigation Directorate and the National Police Intelligence Directorate. Operation Golpe was launched following an investigation that began in 2023, with the aim of dismantling the criminal group identified as 'Killa NTB or Los Killa New Town Boys,' who are linked to various crimes, including homicides, in the province of Colón. A total of 27 raids were conducted to locate members of this criminal structure and evidence related to the investigation. Among them was a person known as 'Dindi,' identified as the leader of this gang. Early in the morning, officials from the Specialized Superior Prosecutor's Office for Illicit Association Crimes (gang activity) carried out the raids.
