During 'Steel Shield Phase 2' operation, units of the National Border Service's Anti-Drug Division detected a vessel in the Carreto sector, Guna Yala region. Onboard, two individuals, upon noticing the police presence, attempted to flee by jumping into the sea and throwing several packages into the water, but were eventually apprehended. After the alleged drug was recovered and counted, a total of thirty-nine (39) rectangular packages were found. In coordination with the Colon and Guna Yala Drug Prosecutor's Office, the individuals and evidence were transferred to Puerto ObaldÃa to continue with the judicial proceedings.
