The Minister of Social Development, Beatriz Carles de Arango, will appear before the full session of the National Assembly on April 1st to answer a questionnaire of 41 questions posed by deputies, according to coordination carried out since March 11th with the General Secretariat of the Legislature. It was reported that some of the questions are related to topics that, by law, correspond to the National Secretariat for Childhood, Adolescence, and Family (Senniaf). Nevertheless, the head of Mides reiterated her willingness to attend and respond to the summons, within the framework of the political control exercised by the Legislative Branch. The minister stated that she will attend with an open attitude to provide clear information about her management, amidst the commitment to transparency and accountability. During her intervention, she will detail the actions driven since July 2024 and the compliance with the ministry's legal responsibilities. Context will also be given to the measures adopted for the protection of vulnerable populations, a central axis of the institutional work. The appearance, as indicated, responds to a constitutional duty and the obligation to inform the country about the work carried out.
