Suspect in human trafficking captured in joint operation

A joint operation between police units and the Public Ministry led to the capture of a suspect investigated for his alleged involvement in human trafficking.

The action was carried out with the objective of locating a person who, according to investigations, would be part of a structure dedicated to the exploitation of women. According to authorities, the suspect frequented bars, nightclubs, and private events at night, where he profiled and recruited potential victims.

The modus operandi consisted of taking photographs of young women to create a catalog, which was later used to promote them for sexual exploitation purposes.

During the search warrants, technological equipment was seized, which is now part of the investigations being carried out by the Second Specialized Prosecutor's Office.

Authorities estimate that at least 20 young women may have been victims of this network, while investigations continue to determine the scope of the organization and possible accomplices. The Public Ministry reported that the investigation is ongoing to fully clarify the facts and bring those responsible to justice.
