Within an operation against illegal mining, intelligence units and the East Brigade of the National Border Service, in coordination with the Environmental Prosecutor's Office, carried out an operation in which five citizens allegedly linked to illegal mining activities were apprehended. During the action, various implements used for mineral extraction were seized, including gold pans, tanks, shovels, pans, machetes, and iron rods. Additionally, cell phones and gold grains were confiscated. Likewise, the respective coordination was made with the Environmental Performance Verification Section of the Ministry of the Environment. These actions carried out by SENAFRONT are part of the security strategy of the Firm Plan against organized crime in all its forms.
