Mayors and representatives from different municipalities have expressed their concern over potential cuts in the budget allocated for investment projects. They believe that these projects are vital for local development and are asking for this budget allocation to remain intact.
During a protest held at the Assembly, the mayors and representatives emphasized the importance of resources allocated for decentralization. They pointed out that these funds are essential for carrying out works and programs that directly benefit communities.
One of the representatives stated, "Cuts to the decentralization budget would have a significant negative impact on our ability to improve the quality of life for our citizens. We urge the authorities to reconsider this decision and to ensure that the necessary funds continue to reach the municipalities."
The protest had the participation of a large number of mayors and representatives from different regions, who hope to be heard and that their demands to maintain the necessary financial support for local development will be taken into account.
