Lawyer Enrique Banista Escobar has submitted a request for presidential pardon to President José Raúl Mulino in favor of former president Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal. In the petition, Banista Escobar argues that it is necessary to grant the pardon to Martinelli Berrocal as soon as possible, due to the violation of his rights and for social interest.
On the other hand, during the session in the National Assembly, 68 present deputies have ratified the new Attorney General. The decision was made in the plenary session of the Assembly, where the corresponding ratification process took place.
The request for pardon submitted by lawyer Enrique Banista Escobar emphasizes the importance of considering the case of Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal based on alleged violations of his rights and in the interest of social good. Meanwhile, in the National Assembly, the ratification of the new Attorney General has been supported by 68 deputies present at the session.
