President José Raúl Mulino informed today, October 30, that the draft law aimed at reforming the Social Security Fund (CSS) will be presented to the National Assembly on November 6. Mulino emphasized that the new regulation will establish that the CSS is autonomous and cannot be privatized.
In his statements, Mulino highlighted the importance of this reform to guarantee the independence and continuity of the CSS for the benefit of all citizens. He stressed that this measure aims to ensure that the institution continues to fulfill its function of providing social security to the Panamanian population.
"The CSS is autonomous and cannot be privatized, so this will be enshrined in the new law," said the president. The presentation of this draft law to the National Assembly on November 6 marks an important step in the reform process of the Social Security Fund in Panama.
