In the framework of Operation Panama 3.0, the National Police of Panama carried out significant actions in the last 24 hours, resulting in the seizure of 96 packages of drugs and the detention of 202 people in different areas of the country. Among those detained, 127 were captured under judicial orders, 52 for committing administrative violations, 16 at the time of committing crimes, and 7 for engaging in drug dealing.
During this operation, 89 raids were executed, resulting in the seizure of 6 firearms, the confiscation of ammunition, the recovery of 2 vehicles reported as stolen, the seizure of another vehicle, and the confiscation of B/.150.00 in cash.
On the other hand, the units of the National Directorate of Traffic Operations carried out preventive actions, issuing a total of 1,005 traffic violation tickets. Among the most common violations were 152 fines for speeding, 29 for improper lights, 7 for expired driving licenses, 4 for driving under the influence of alcohol, and 12 for using a cellphone while driving.
