At the meeting led by Jorge Torregrosa, who implements the obligation of the General Director of the Penitentiary System, the coordination of measures to ensure safety in prisons was discussed. Representatives of the Penitentiary System and law enforcement participated in the discussion, aimed at agreeing on a strategy for ensuring safety in detention. "Our goal is to guarantee safety in prisons, both for employees and for detainees. Therefore, it is important to have an action plan that allows to effectively respond to any potential threats," noted Jorge Torregrosa.
During the meeting, current issues related to safety in the penitentiary system were discussed. A decision was made to strengthen cooperation between safety forces and develop measures for effective control over the situation in prisons. Additionally, ways to prevent incidents and minimize risks were discussed.
The organizers of the meeting emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of the situation in colonies and prisons, to proactively respond to any incidents and ensure the safety of all who are in detention.
