The Inter Miami team, led by Argentine star Lionel Messi, achieved a 3-1 victory against Sporting San Miguelito from Panama in a friendly match preparing for the upcoming Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

The goals for Inter Miami were scored by Benjamín Cremaschi, Tadeo Allende, and Fafa Picault, while Adan Hendricks Ayarza scored for the Panamanian team, opening the scoring. Messi stood out with his involvement in the first and third goals, breaking San Miguelito's defensive line with precise passes and showing flashes of his footballing skill.

This matchup was the third in Inter Miami's preseason, having previously won penalties against América from Mexico and Universitario from Peru. Inter Miami's next preparation match will be on Saturday, February 8, against Olimpia from Honduras.

Inter Miami will officially debut this year on February 18 in the Concacaf Champions League against Sporting Kansas City, followed by their first MLS match four days later against New York City. The team, which besides Messi includes notable players like Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suárez, will seek to improve its performance compared to last season, where they won the Supporters' Shield as the team with the most points in the regular league.

In addition to local tournaments, Inter Miami has a significant goal of participating in the Club World Cup, where they share a group with Palmeiras from Brazil, Porto from Portugal, and Al Ahly from Egypt.
