Coclé Wins Youth Baseball National Championship

Coclé claims its fourth title in eight years, defeating Chiriquí 3-1 in the final match at Rod Carew Stadium, securing the XV Copa Caja de Ahorros.

The Coclé team became champion of the National Youth Baseball by defeating Chiriquí 3-1 at the Rod Carew Stadium. This victory represented the fourth title for Coclé in eight years and its fifth title in the history of these national championships.

In the second inning, Chiriquí took the lead with a score of 1-0. However, Aníbal Sánchez from the Coclé team was a standout player by driving in five crucial runs in the fourth and eighth innings, earning him recognition as the player of the game.

With this victory, Coclé became a two-time champion of the tournament and continues to demonstrate its dominance in this category over the past few years. The team received, for the first time in the history of these tournaments, a silver ring valued at B/.300.00 from Fedebeis and special sponsors.

Coclé will depart from the Eastern Guides in a caravan to celebrate this victory with its province. This championship adds to those achieved by Coclé in 2018, 2021, 2024, and 2025, reaffirming its position as one of the most prominent provinces in youth baseball in Panama.
