Olympic wrestler Yusneiry Agrazal and fencer Arturo Dorati, flag bearers for the Panamanian delegation at the Ayacucho - Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games, won bronze medals in their respective events yesterday.
In Olympic wrestling, Agrazal took the bronze in the 53-kilogram category. In the round-robin stage of her group, Agrazal defeated Chile's Antonia Valdés and Bolivia's Ana González to advance as group leader with six points. In the semi-finals, she lost to Venezuelan Alexa Álvarez 8-0, while in the bronze medal match, she defeated Bolivia's Ana González again.
Meanwhile, Dorati secured a bronze medal in the men's individual foil event. Dorati advanced from his pool, and in the direct elimination round, he defeated Peru's Sebastián Bereche 15-13. In the quarter-finals, he beat Chile's Jorge Valderrama 15-14, and in the semi-finals, he was narrowly defeated 14-15 by Venezuela's Francisco Limardo.
On that same Monday, bronze medals were also won by Tyler Christianson in the 200-meter breaststroke and the Dota 2 (eSports) team consisting of Diego Valderrama, Eduard Rodríguez, Johan Herrera, José Saldaña, and Raymond Baloy.
