Panamanian boxer Ricardo 'The Scientist' Núñez is traveling to Germany to dispute the interim world lightweight championship of the WBC. His opponent will be the Cuban Jadier Herrera. The main event will take place on January 3 at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Núñez, 32, with a professional record of 26 wins (22 knockouts) and 7 losses, will face the undefeated Herrera, who has 17 fights with 15 wins by knockout. "I feel like a winner, I'm positive for this trip," Núñez declared. He added that he has experience in this type of fight and will leave Panama high and bring back the world title. Núñez will travel with his agent Raúl Ford and his coaches Gustavo Cervantes and Héctor Rangel. They will make a stopover in Amsterdam before taking another flight to their final destination.
