Panama has defined the call-ups for the away friendly matches it will hold against South Africa on March 27 and 31, which will serve as preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026. A press release from the Panamanian Football Federation (FPF) informed that Christiansen called up a total of 23 players to play a series of two matches against a team from the African continent, thinking about the characteristics of the Ghana team, Panama's rival in its World Cup debut next June 17 in Toronto, Canada. The called-up players will be traveling this weekend, each from the countries where they are playing with their respective clubs, with their final destination being the city of Durban, where they will begin the concentration for the FIFA date. The list includes a group composed almost entirely of players who play abroad, with the exception of defender Eric Davis from CD Plaza Amador, of the Panamanian Football League (LPF). The national team coach and members of his technical staff are scheduled to travel this Thursday, March 19, to South Africa to have everything ready when the players start to arrive. The match against South Africa represents the first time that a Panama Senior National Team will play as a visitor on African soil. The called-up players are as follows: Goalkeepers: Orlando Mosquera, Luis Mejía and César Samudio. Defenders: César Blackman, Jorge Gutiérrez, Amir Murillo, Andrés Andrade, Martín Krug, José Córdoba, Eric Davis, Jiovany Ramos and Roderick Miller. Midfielders: Aníbal Godoy, Adalberto Carrasquilla, Carlos Harvey, Cristian Martínez, José Luis Rodríguez, César Yanis and Yoel Bárcenas. Forwards: Ismael Díaz, Cecilio Waterman, José Fajardo and Kadir Barría.
