Panamanian boxer Nataly Delgado will step into the ring this Saturday, March 28, to face Venezuelan Yoselin Fernández. This will be her second defense of her interim World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight title. The fight will take place at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Managua, Nicaragua. Delgado, 31, arrives at this fight with a professional record of 19 wins, 7 losses, and 2 draws, with 5 knockouts. Her opponent, Yoselin Fernández, 27, has a record of 16 wins, 7 losses, and 9 knockouts, posing a threat with her punching power. “With Fernández, we have a score to settle this Saturday,” Delgado stated. The champion also made it clear that she is not underestimating her rival. “Yoselin is coming for my title, but she will have to work hard to take it from me.” The fight will be refereed by Panamanian Ramón González, with judges César Berrios, Jacinto Obregón, and Silvio Ortiz, as reported by the WBA. At the official weigh-in on Friday, Delgado registered 114.6 pounds, while Fernández weighed exactly 113 pounds, both within the division's limit. “I feel like a fish in water. Motivated to be in Nicaragua for a second defense of my crown,” Delgado expressed. The encounter between the two has a recent precedent, as it was originally scheduled for December 6 in Santiago. “This title has cost me a lot, and I won’t let them take it from me easily,” she affirmed.
