The teams from Panamá Oeste, Darién, Herrera, Colón, and Coclé join Bocas del Toro and Chiriquí, who had already secured their spots, leaving only one spot available for the next phase of the tournament. Yesterday's results, March 31, marked one of the most decisive days of the competition, as only the scheduled matches remain on the calendar. The Vaqueros defeated the Metropolitanos 6-1 at Justino Salinas; La Leña Roja defeated the Potros 5-2 at Rod Carew; the Tortugueros defeated the Santeño team 7-2 at Calvin Byron; Chiriquí defeated Chiriquí Occidente 14-3; Darién won 4-3 against Colón in Metetí; and Herrera defeated Veraguas 8-3 at Claudio Nieto. With these results, the teams of Veraguas (7-7 with two games pending), Los Santos (7-8), and Panamá Metro (7-8) will compete for the last remaining spot to complete the eight-team series. The current leaders are Bocas del Toro and Chiriquí with a record of 11-5, followed by Panamá Oeste (10-6), Darién and Herrera (9-6), and Colón and Coclé (9-7).
