Panama is preparing for one of the most significant sporting events in its history — the South American Games. We urge you to support the national athletes who have trained for years for this opportunity. However, please do so with respect for the visiting competitors. While they are in Panama, they are our guests.
The South American Games will be held from April 12 to 25, a total of 14 action-packed days of competition. The opening ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Rommel Fernández Stadium and will feature the performance of Puerto Rican artist Farruko, along with Panamanian figures like Jonathan Chávez and Los Triunfadores. The ceremony can be viewed worldwide through the Panam Sports YouTube channel.
Important note: If you plan to attend, there will be no parking available at the stadium.
The Games will be held at multiple venues across the country, featuring top-tier sports complexes. The epicenter will be the Ciudad Deportiva Irving Saladino, which will host multiple disciplines, as well as the 'fan fest'. Other key locations include Rommel Fernández Stadium (football and opening ceremony), Estadio Emilio Royo (flag football), Archery Field (archery), Combat Center (judo and taekwondo), CAR (swimming, athletics, badminton, table tennis, football), Figali Convention Center (artistic gymnastics), Atheyna Bylon Tierra de Campeones Center (boxing), Cinta Costera (road cycling), Mirador del Pacífico (3x3 basketball), Amador Causeway (triathlon), Panama Golf Club (golf), Fred Maduro Tennis Center (tennis), Juan Demóstenes Arosemena Stadium (baseball), and Venao Beach (surf).
Tickets for the South American Games are completely free. To get them, you just need to visit the Panatickets website and select the events you wish to attend.
Special bus routes have been set up by MiBus to key venues like the Cinta Costera and the Ciudad Deportiva Irving Saladino, running from 3:00 a.m. and, in some cases, extending into the early morning of the next day. Fares are $0.25 on trunk routes and $0.75 on express corridors.
If you cannot attend the Games in person, you can follow the competition through the 'Panamá 2026' mobile app, which offers the schedule, real-time results, and details by discipline. You can also follow the Games on the Panam Sports YouTube channel.
Enjoy this historic moment for Panamanian sport.
