Panama - The second suspect of having perpetrated an armed robbery at La Plaza restaurant, located in El Empalme, district of Changuinola (Bocas del Toro), was apprehended last night by units of the National Police. According to the entity, since the robbery occurred, the authorities were on the trail of the criminals. Once both suspects were identified, the first of them was apprehended last Thursday in El Empalme, while last night they found the second involved in the district of Almirante. It was last Sunday, January 25th, when the suspects, firearm in hand, entered the restaurant, subdued the customers and employees, to strip them of their belongings. The violent assault was recorded on video thanks to the establishment's surveillance system, and it was precisely thanks to those images that the National Police managed to identify and capture them. Both suspects must face charges for the crime against economic assets in the form of robbery.
