CAF to Inaugurate International Economic Forum 2026 with Cultural Festival in Panama
The "Voices for Our Region" Festival will kick off the global event's agenda on January 27 at the Panama Convention Center with free admission.
CAF highlights the role of culture as a driver of social and economic development prior to the forum's analysis sessions and business rounds.
This cultural event will serve as the official opening of the International Economic Forum 2026 agenda, highlighting culture as a strategic axis for the economic, social, and sustainable progress of nations.
A Platform for the Creative Economy
The "Voices for Our Region" Festival will take place at the Panama Convention Center in a dynamic format that includes cultural fairs, talks, sectoral roundtables, innovation forums, and co-creation sessions.
To empower the creative talent of Latin America and the Caribbean, CAF –development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean– will hold the "Voices for our region: Culture that moves the world" festival on January 27.
These events aim to establish Panama as a strategic connection hub, promoting the vision of Latin America and the Caribbean as a "region solution" to current global challenges.
The festival will mark the starting point of the International Economic Forum 2026, an event organized by CAF in conjunction with the Government of Panama.
Díaz-Granados stated that the festival aims to show the world a vibrant narrative of the region, capable of leading global solutions through its world-class creativity and talent.
The programming is designed to address fundamental areas such as literature, music, indigenous art, sustainable fashion, cultural infrastructures, and the impact of digital platforms.
Sergio Díaz-Granados, Executive President of CAF, affirmed that culture has a transformative capacity to generate inclusion and opportunities.
From January 27 to 30, the Panamanian capital will gather authorities, business leaders, and decision-makers to debate urgent challenges in terms of competitiveness, inclusion, and sustainable growth.
The event's structure contemplates the development of the Economic Forum on January 28 and 29, culminating in a business roundtable scheduled for January 29 and 30.
