The National Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation (Senacyt) has a series of public calls open to promote the generation of knowledge and innovation in the country. For example, the call for the National Award for Business Innovation 2025 is available, developed in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), with the objective of promoting, recognizing, and highlighting Panamanian organizations that develop innovative solutions based on science and technology, strengthening the country's competitiveness and socioeconomic progress. The award has two categories. The National Award for Business Innovation 2025 is aimed at for-profit legal entities registered in the Public Registry of Panama and with a minimum of 12 months of continuous operation. Through innovation incentives and specialized diplomas, Senacyt seeks to transform science into a tool for sustainable development for the country. Dr. Eduardo Ortega Barría highlighted the importance of these initiatives to integrate Panamanian talent into the labor market and improve the quality of education. "That is why our mission at Senacyt is aimed at turning science and technology into tools for sustainable development for Panama," he stated.
