Panama Launches Tourism Campaign with Over $500 in Benefits for Foreigners

Panama has taken a firm step to strengthen its competitiveness in the international tourism market with the launch of the strategic campaign 'Panamá te regala + de $500 en beneficios.' This initiative, designed for foreign visitors, offers a package of exclusive discounts and advantages in a network of more than 50 establishments, including hotels, restaurants, museums, and various tourist experience centers in the Panamanian capital. The program operates through a digital coupon booklet that adds up to an estimated value of over $500 in discounts. To activate these benefits, international tourists must meet a minimum stay requirement of four nights at participating establishments within Panama City. It is important to highlight that the incentives are assumed and financed directly by allied businesses and hotels, demonstrating the proactivity of the private sector in promoting the destination. Victor Concepción, president of APATEL, highlighted that this is a concrete tool created by the industry to benefit the entire value chain, with the visitor as the central axis. In turn, the Minister of Tourism, Gloria de León, emphasized that the project is an example of how a public-private alliance allows for proposals that add real value to the destination.
