During the inaugural event, public and private sector representatives highlighted the impact of the ACOBIR Real Estate Expo as a key platform to boost the national economy, attract local and foreign investment, and strengthen confidence in the Panamanian real estate market. The ACOBIR Real Estate Expo 2026 was officially inaugurated this Thursday at the Panama Convention Center, in an event attended by ministers, vice ministers, government authorities, association presidents, and special guests. The fair will take place in person from January 22 to 25, complemented by a week of 24/7 Virtual Expo, allowing visitors to receive personalized advice, access exclusive promotions, and get immediate financing approvals. Organizers expect the attendance of over 12,000 visitors and banking transactions of more than 80 million dollars, confirming the Real Estate Expo as the leading event in the sector. Colombian delegations are participating, presenting a varied offer of real estate projects and international investment opportunities. This is the first real estate fair held under the new Preferential Interest Law, effective since January 1, 2026, reaffirming the sector's commitment to access to housing, investment, and sustainable growth. Likewise, on January 23, 24, and 25, a cycle of educational talks will be held, addressing key topics such as financing, foreign investment, permanent residency through real estate, real estate tokenization, trusts, asset organization, and other topics of interest to buyers. The fair features over 70 exhibitors and more than 150 residential, commercial, and tourism projects with options for all budgets: from projects with preferential interest to luxury properties. Promoters, developers, investors, the country's most important banking entities with the best promotions, and buyers from Panama and the region are participating. The Expo offers an integral experience for the whole family, with children's attractions, pet-friendly areas, rest zones, and free round-trip transportation from the Social Security stop on 5th of May, with departures every 15 minutes. In this edition, Colombia is the guest country, strengthening the commercial and cultural ties between both nations. The fair's hours are: Thursday, January 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, January 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday 24 and Sunday 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The entrance cost is 2 dollars for adults, 1 dollar for retirees, and free for children under 12 years of age.
