Business Forum 'Connection to the Global Market' in Panama

An international economic forum will be held in Panama, bringing together entrepreneurs from over 20 countries to create new business opportunities. Thousands of business meetings will take place with the participation of heads of state.

Within the framework of the International Economic Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean 2026, organized by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), the business roundtable 'Connection to the Global Market' will take place. This event will, for the first time, bring together entrepreneurs from over 20 countries in Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Asia in a single space, aiming to generate new business opportunities. This is the second year that CAF is holding its international economic forum in Panama, on January 28 and 29. The presidents of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; Ecuador, Daniel Noboa; and the elected president of Chile, José Antonio Kast, will participate. The event's format will allow exporters to concentrate, in one place, meetings with international buyers from multiple markets, reducing logistical costs and travel times while expanding their network of contacts and their chances of closing deals. This week, Panama will be the regional business center for Latin America and the world. On Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, entrepreneurs will be able to hold over 20 business meetings, in one-on-one sessions of 25 minutes, according to a pre-scheduled agenda. Nearly 4,000 business meetings are expected to be held. Participating companies will offer products from sectors such as agribusiness, manufacturing, textiles and apparel, chemicals and life sciences, software and digital solutions, among others.
