The temporary suspension is part of a sanitation program that includes: pressure washing of areas, internal and external fumigation, disinfection of modules, and maintenance of green areas. These works are carried out by the Directorate of Municipal Markets to guarantee the safety in the sale of products for human consumption. Restaurants will be open with special hours. Despite the market closure, the restaurant area will operate that same Monday from 1:00 pm. The Seafood Market reopens and resumes normal hours starting Tuesday, April 7. The Seafood Market will resume its regular hours: Wholesalers: 1:00 am to 10:00 am. General public: 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. Restaurants: 10:00 am to 11:30 pm. Authorities suggest visitors plan their purchases in advance and take these temporary adjustments into account.
