The rector Eduardo Flores announced a temporary cessation of educational and administrative work at the central campus of the university. The reason for this was the student protests, which led to the blockade of the transportation route on the Transitsmicheskaya road opposite the university building.
No official statement has come from the university administration regarding the duration and reasons for the suspension of work so far. Despite this, students continue to express their dissatisfaction and are demanding a meeting with the management of the educational institution. Police are present at the scene of the incident to maintain public order.
"We demand constructive dialogue with the administration and the rector. We need to find solutions to the issues that concern the students," remarked one of the participants in the protest.
