The event brought together teenagers in conflict with the law from the country's six custody centers, who had the opportunity to showcase their creativity and sensitivity through art. The event not only served as a platform for artistic expression but also reinforced the IEI's commitment to the positive transformation of the young people under its care.
Following the exhibition and evaluation of the artworks, the judging panel announced the winner to be a young person from the Rainbow Custody Center. His painting was selected for its significant originality and the strength of its artistic expression.
The judging panel was composed of distinguished representatives from various cultural and governmental organizations, including delegates from the Olga Sinclair Foundation, Prosem Internacional, and the Aristides UreƱa Foundation, in addition to a representative from the Ministry of Culture.
Ysati Forte, acting director of the IEI, emphasized that this contest is an integral part of the Resocialization Plan implemented by the institution. This plan actively promotes the personal development of adolescents through activities that facilitate emotional expression, strengthen soft skills, and build pathways to new life opportunities.
The IEI reaffirms its dedication to the implementation and ongoing development of educational, cultural, and formative programs.
