Panama City Announces 2026 Tree Collection

Panama City will host several Christmas tree collection points from January 7 to 11, 2026. The city’s municipal government listed sites across the Capital District, including the Calidonia Coastal Strip and Atlapa in San Francisco.

Other points include Leafsync at Multiplaza‑USMA, the Roberto Durán Arena in Juan Díaz, and community boards such as Don Bosco and Las Cumbres. Additional locations are the Panama Compost of Rio Abajo, Princess of Wales Square in North Panama, and the My Environment headquarters in Albrook.

Municipal officials reiterated that burning trees is prohibited by Mayoral Decree No. 001‑2018, dated January 11, 2018, to protect the environment. Residents are encouraged to drop their trees at the designated points to ensure safe disposal and reduce pollution.
