Panama, Panama City. In Panama City, a woman has been arrested for posing as a wedding planner and scamming clients. She would receive advance payments, in some cases over $10,000, and then disappear with various excuses. According to the victims, she claimed to be 'managing' things, that 'details were missing,' or that 'the hotel had not confirmed.' In reality, she was not coordinating any services, such as the venue, banquet, or decoration. The incidents under investigation occurred between November 2023 and February 2025, during which several couples were affected. The woman has been placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, while the Public Prosecutor's Office continues to review complaints and search for additional possible victims. The case remains open. A raid in the Juan Díaz area resulted in the arrest of a woman accused of aggravated fraud.
