The Center for Historical, Anthropological, and Cultural Research (CIHAC AIP), with the support of the Ministry of Culture, is organizing the International Meeting on Maritime Archaeology. This academic event is designed for the exchange of knowledge on the preservation of underwater cultural heritage. Specialists from Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Colombia, and Panama will share methodological experiences and the latest technological advances applied to archaeology. The event will take place on Thursday, February 26, at 9:00 a.m. at the Museum of the Canal, located in the Casco Antiguo, with free admission for those interested in scientific and cultural research. Additionally, a family workshop on painting tote bags will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m., with a donation of $5. "These tools are fundamental for the execution of the methodological proposal aimed at the inventory of archaeological heritage in the Panamanian Caribbean," the organization stated.
