With students returning to school on March 2, the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT) announced the launch of its strategic mobility plan to manage vehicle flow and reinforce safety in school zones. From 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., on the Arraiján – La Chorrera Highway, the stretch will run from TCT in Vista Alegre to the Burunga Bridge. On the Bridge of the Americas, the schedule will be from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., from Panamá Pacífico to the National Assembly. The ATTT asked drivers to plan their routes and respect traffic signals. There will also be traffic in the afternoon. On the Arraiján – La Chorrera Highway, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., traffic will flow from the Burunga Bridge to TCT in Vista Alegre. On the Bridge of the Americas, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the flow will be from the National Assembly towards Panamá Pacífico. Investment in other city routes will also be reactivated. The call is clear: organize early so the return to school doesn't become a headache for anyone. Inspectors will be maintained on the Avenue of the Martyrs to speed up traffic, and in school zones, staff will support pedestrians at crossings. The objective is to facilitate the transit of new students at the start of the school year. Operations will be carried out at sensitive points.
