Francophonie 2026: Cultural Events and Fairs in the Capital

The official program of Francophonie 2026, organized by the French Alliance in Panama and the Embassy of France with the support of 13 diplomatic representations, will kick off in March. The festival, held under the motto of diversity and cooperation, will offer a packed schedule for the entire month. Film screenings will be a cornerstone of the events. On March 7 at 3:00 p.m., a specialized tour will be held at the «Building the Panama Canal» room of the Canal Museum, highlighting the historical French connection to the interoceanic route. On March 12 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a screening of the Swiss film «La Gyranthera» at Cervecería Feroz, and on March 13 at 6:30 p.m., the Uruguayan film «Milonga» will be shown at Galería Solar. The event will also open spaces for debate and professional development. On March 24 at 11:00 a.m., a virtual conference titled «How do video games reflect cultures?» will take place via Twitch. For those seeking professional growth, an Opportunities Fair will be held on March 26 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the French Alliance, showcasing educational and job offers from French-speaking countries. On March 21, Parque Andrés Bello will host the awaited «Mercadito de los Sabores», a meeting point for international gastronomy. The festival will close on March 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Teatro En Círculo with a concert by the duo «Un Air Deux Mômes».
