The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) of Panama is preparing for a historic March. This month, the museum not only celebrates its 64th anniversary but also becomes a key participant in the second edition of Pinta Panamá Art Week. March's programming offers a journey suitable for all ages: from large-scale drawing workshops and horror films to a grand celebration that will transform the museum into a 'Surreal Universe'. March 7: Between the absurd and the everyday. A creative workshop on absurd still lifes led by Momo Magallon. March 12-15: Panama Horror Film Festival (9th Edition). The museum transforms into the stage of the unknown with screenings of fantastic films, a thematic market, talks, and exhibitions. March 14: The mountain that connects us. A family collage workshop where each individual fragment contributes to the construction of a collective mountain, reflecting on territory and dialogue. March 21: Main Event: Surreal Universe and Pinta Panamá Art Week. MAC Panama becomes an oniric landscape inspired by the cosmos of artist Trixie Briceño. March 29: 'Open for All' Sunday. A day of open doors with free entry at both branches (Ancon and Casco Antiguo), which includes drawing workshops, guided tours, and more. Additionally, the ambitious International Architecture Call for the design of the museum's new headquarters continues, a milestone that will mark the future of the dialogue between art and the city.
