The incident occurred on the west side of the project, where the worker was part of the operational staff. The young man was identified as César Miranda. The incident occurred when the machinery the worker was operating touched an electrical cable. The situation caused moments of tension among the workers in the area. The Panama Fourth Bridge Consortium confirmed the worker's death through a statement, indicating that emergency and medical assistance protocols were immediately activated at the site. Despite the rapid attention from the paramedic team, the worker did not survive. The company stated that internal procedures have been initiated to verify what happened, and they will provide all necessary cooperation to the competent authorities, who will also advance the investigations to clarify the incident.
