The National Prosecutor, Luis Carlos Gómez, asked for respect for the family of Esteban De León, a 25-year-old young man who was found dead on November 5th in the Las Paredes area, in 24 de Diciembre.
He highlighted that the motive and causes of his death are still under investigation.
«I want to ask for respect for the families who suffer in these types of cases, because there is a latent clamor to recover that relative, and of course, there are situations that end in a regrettable outcome. We must have respect for the families, because they also become victims in the face of these events,» stated the prosecutor.
On the other hand, he urged the population to report any disappearance cases immediately, noting that it is very important to act quickly.
«If the outcome is an escape or a voluntary departure of that person from their family and daily environment, that is a decision, but at least we now have an answer to that presumed disappearance,» Gómez stated to the media.
