Police Substation Renovation Work Restarted in Calidonia

In response to the increase in crime rates, work on the repair and remodeling of the police substation located in the San Miguel sector, in the Calidonia district, has been restarted. This is a key infrastructure to strengthen citizen security and police presence in the area. This action aims to recover a strategic point that will improve the police response capacity to situations affecting the tranquility of residents. Currently, Calidonia, like other sectors of the country, faces an increase in criminality, which has generated concern among neighbors and a growing sense of vulnerability. The lack of guarantees in terms of security and integrity for families makes the execution of projects focused on crime prevention and control even more urgent. These efforts are led by the district representative, Yatzumaly Worrell, who has promoted the reactivation of this important substation or police checkpoint. The restart of the work has been possible thanks to the support of the National Police, the Sanitation Authority, and other institutions, in a coordinated effort that reflects the inter-institutional commitment to public safety and citizen well-being. The rehabilitation of this infrastructure will allow strengthening police surveillance, optimizing security coverage, and ensuring a more timely response to any eventuality. The Calidonia Community Board reiterated its commitment to continue promoting concrete solutions that contribute to a safer, more orderly, and tranquil environment for all residents.
