As part of the social reintegration programs of the National Government, a group of inmates participating in the 'Plan Libertad' program continues to carry out support and maintenance work at the Church of Santa Ana. These works are strategically carried out a few days before the start of Holy Week festivities. During the event, the young people received a visit from Minister Dinoska Montalvo, who inspected the progress of the work and spoke with the participants. Inmates from the El Renacer Penitentiary Center are carrying out maintenance and painting work at the historic temple as part of their resocialization process. Montalvo urged the group to maintain excellence in their task performance, highlighting that this initiative not only aims to preserve a national monument but also functions as a life transformation tool for those seeking to reintegrate into society in a positive way. The work at the temple represents a significant contribution to the restoration of Panama's historical heritage, which has traditionally served as a spiritual center for the community. Joshua Jurado, one of the participating inmates, expressed his satisfaction at contributing to society, stating that this opportunity allows them to make amends and leave a legacy for the country's future. Local residents, such as Ana Loisa, a neighbor of El Chorrillo and a regular temple attendee, highlighted the importance of continuing these projects. According to Loisa, these experiences allow young people to have a renewed mindset and the necessary skills to access the labor market upon completing their sentence.
