Former candidate for Juan Díaz representative, Jesus Shark Alemán, was killed on the night of Sunday, March 29, after being shot multiple times during the inauguration of a football league. Alemán, 52, was organizing the matches scheduled for the evening on 19th Street in Ciudad Radial, Juan Díaz, when he and other attendees were surprised by a barrage of gunfire that ended his life. According to preliminary reports, Alemán frequently participated in sports activities held in the area. Six other people were also injured in the incident, one of them seriously. The Metropolitan Homicide and Femicide Prosecutor's Office has begun collecting evidence and interviewing people who were at the scene of the attack to clarify what happened. It was also reported that Alemán was part of the Panama Boxing Commission, where he collaborated as a supervisor on international fight cards. The former candidate was also known in the community for the complaints he made on social media about sector problems, such as poor waste disposal and lack of opportunities for young people.
