Panama - A woman who traveled from Chiriquí to the capital to participate in an armed robbery of a driver providing services for a digital platform, a judge charged her with crimes against economic property as an accomplice and ordered her provisional detention. During the multiple request control hearing, the judge, after hearing the parties, decided to apply the most severe precautionary measure to the woman, taking into account the risk of affecting the means of evidence, the danger the accused represents to the victim and society, as well as the serious nature of the crime. In the file of this investigation, it is stated that the event occurred on December 12, 2025, when the accused, who resides in the province of Chiriquí, along with a man requested a ride from a hotel located in the Corregimiento of Calidonia to the 9 de Enero sector, Corregimiento of Amelia Denis De Icaza, in the district of San Miguelito. Upon arriving in the area, the man accompanying her along with another subject, through violence and intimidation, deprived the victim of the sum of B/.340.00 in cash and personal belongings.
