The Panamanian authorities fired an employee of the Transit and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT) after a video showing his inappropriate behavior surfaced on social media. ATTT stated that following the video's circulation, the corresponding administrative and disciplinary processes were activated. The institution emphasized that all actions were carried out in compliance with its internal regulations and current legal frameworks. As a result of the investigation, it was decided to terminate the employment relationship of the official involved. ATTT strongly condemned this type of action, stating that it is contrary to its ethical values, as well as the safety and professionalism standards it demands of all its personnel. The authority reiterated its firm commitment to transparency, accountability, and respect for citizens. ATTT also urged the public to report such irregularities through the 311 line, highlighting that citizen collaboration is key to strengthening institutional transparency and ensuring quality service.
