Santos won this time with a record of 3:48.57 hours, beating the Italian Giacomo Mevio, who came in second with a time of 3:56.19, and the Frenchman Marc-Antoine Garguet, who finished third with a time of 4:02.36. In the women's category, the winner was Paraguayan Susana Guillén, with a time of 4:30.37 hours, followed by Colombian Stefanía Ramos with 4:33.13, and Dominican Brenda Schaup with 4:33.19. The Panamanian capital hosted the fifth edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Panamá Latin America TriClub Championship, with over 1,500 athletes from more than 50 countries competing for qualifying spots for the World Championship of the specialty. On the Pacific coast of Panama City, the competition began with a 1.9-kilometer swim in the waters of the Panama Canal, one of the country's most iconic settings and a distinctive feature within the international franchise circuit. After the swim, the athletes moved on to a 90-kilometer cycling route that connects Calzada de Amador with the Cinta Costera, Vía Israel, and Panamá Viejo. Thus, the grand event concluded with a 21.1-kilometer run along Calzada de Amador.
