Panama will host, for the fifth consecutive time, the US Kids Golf Panama Invitational 2026 junior golf tournament. The event will begin this Thursday, April 2nd, and conclude on Saturday, April 4th, at the Santa María Golf Club in the capital city. The tournament will feature some of the best junior golfers from the region, both male and female, aged between 6 and 18 years. A total of 105 golfers will be present, of which 45 are Panamanian. The first time Panama hosted this tournament was in the 2020 edition, which had the participation of 110 golfers. This weekend, all eyes of the junior golf region will be on Panama. Additionally, for the ages of 15 to 18, the event will be valid for accumulating points in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and the Junior Golf Scoreboard, two of the most important junior golf classifications. This tournament is a qualifier for the US Kids Golf World Championship, the most prestigious event for boys and girls aged 5 to 12 worldwide. After the cancellations of the 2021 and 2022 editions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event returned to the country in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and now returns for the fifth consecutive and fourth uninterrupted time. “In 2026, we estimate that 60% of the players will be international, which represents a great opportunity for our young athletes to shine and take advantage of this international experience in Panama,” highlighted Miguel Durán, president of APAGOLF. The event is held annually in Pinehurst, North Carolina (United States) and this year it will be held from July 30th to August 1st.
