President José Raúl Mulino announced that during his tenure in office there will be more construction of sports facilities. In particular, a sports complex named "Toco" Castillo was opened in Santiago. This facility is once again accessible to the public after a major renovation. During the ceremony of opening, Mulino emphasized the importance of investing in sports and physical activity for the local community. He also stated that similar improvements would continue in other regions of the country.
"The newly opened sports stadium named 'Toco' Castillo, which has reopened today, represents a great example of what kind of efforts we must prioritize for the development of sports in Panama," Mulino stressed.
Thus, the development of sports infrastructure remains one of the priorities of the government within the general framework to improve the quality of life of citizens and to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
