Panama's Alcohol Production Rises in Q4 2025

In 2025, Panama produced 266.7 million liters of alcoholic beverages. Despite a 6.2% overall production decline, the last quarter showed significant growth, especially in brewing, which increased output by 22.3%.


In 2025, 266.7 million liters of alcoholic beverages were produced, of which 255.1 million were beer (95%), 5 million were rum (2%), and 4.3 million were seco (1.6%).

Between October and December, 76.6 million liters of alcoholic beverages were produced, representing a 13.2% increase compared to the same quarter of 2024, when 67.7 million were produced. Beer production in this period skyrocketed, with 73.6 million liters produced, a 22.3% increase from the 60.1 million produced in 2024.

By category, alcoholic beverages that recorded declines were beer (3.7%), rum (60.4%), seco (4.6%), and gin (21.6%).

According to preliminary figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), alcoholic beverage production fell by 6.2% last year. However, there is good news for the sector, as production in the last quarter reflected positive numbers.

It is clarified that the statistics on beer do not include craft beer production, which has gained ground in the market.
