
The Panama Canal Authority approved the necessary funds to carry out the construction project of a 'lake' in the middle stretch of the Río Indio basin. This work has been declared a priority according to resolution No. ACP-JD-RM 25-1542.
The objective of this project is to contribute to the improvement of the ecosystem and increase water availability in the region. The 'lake' will help regulate the river's flow, benefiting surrounding communities and the environment as well.
