On Friday, Aguaseo, S.A. reported that the body of a newborn was found inside a bag at the Monte Esperanza Municipal Landfill in Colón. According to the company, the discovery was made by one of its operational teams during the evening shift at the landfill. The company called for respect and prudence as official investigations are underway. In accordance with established protocols, the company's staff immediately notified the National Police and the Public Ministry. The National Police quickly arrived at the scene, along with agents from the Criminalistics Department, and began the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts. The body of the fetus was recovered and sent to the judicial morgue to be part of the investigation process.
