Bad weather continues to mercilessly hit the province of Colón, leaving behind landslides, broken roads, soaked families, and a constant sense of alert. According to residents, it has been three weeks of non-stop rain, and the situation is getting more complicated by the day. Streams and rivers have overflowed, water is entering homes, and roads are beginning to give way, affecting traffic and tranquility in the Atlantic region. Intense rainfall has knocked down trees and caused two landslides in Quebrada Ancha, in the Limón district, right on the Transístmica highway. Crews from the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) rushed to the site to move earth, clear obstacles, and reopen the road at least partially. Here, no one is letting their guard down. Work continues, but nature is not cooperating. Damage was also reported on the road connecting the Atlantic Bridge with Costa Abajo, on the stretch between the locks and the bridge, an area under the administration of the ACP, where the rains appear to have weakened the ground. Authorities are maintaining vigilance and asking the public to remain calm, drive carefully, and be alert to any new damage. It's a partial relief, as the weather does not promise to improve soon. But the scare didn't end there.
